Welcome to a New Month!

Happy February!

Thanks so much to everyone who ordered during our first week back on Locally Grown! If anyone is having trouble with our platform, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are happy to help!

We have a wide selection of meats on the market this week, including pork, duck, and chicken, as well as eggs, bread, honey, and other baked goods. If you’re planning your spring garden, don’t forget to check out our organic Southern Exposure seeds!

The Grayson LandCare Pruning Workshop is coming up THIS Saturday, February 8, at 11 am.

And just one week later, on February 15, at 9 am, don’t miss our Grow More Vegetables class. The class is limited to 20 people. Please email Michelle Pridgen at independencefarmersmarket@gmail.com to register.

If you can’t wait to get back to the in-person market, the wait just got shorter. We will be holding a pre-season market on Friday, April 18, from 9 am to 1 pm in Town Park. Get your Easter shopping done with the Independence Farmers’ Market! Our grand opening for the regular season will be Friday, May 2.

Just in time for the weather to cool down again, Grayson LandCare is now selling a long-sleeved version of the fan-favorite bee shirt. Get yours today!

The Online Market is open for ordering Wednesdays at 8 PM until Mondays at 8 PM.

The In-Person Market is open from 9 AM until 1 PM Fridays from May to October.

The Independence Farmers Market is a proud member of VAFMA and is on the Virginia is for Farmers Market Lovers trail. The online and regular Friday Farmers Markets welcome Snap and EBT and offer up to a $30 match for SNAP purchases to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. This grant funding is provided by the Gus Schumaker Nutrition Incentive network. In addition, the Market welcomes WIC and Senior Farmers Market coupons. The IFM is a project of Grayson LandCare.
